Integrate allows you to follow other users. We do this because social dynamics can enhance learning, inspire new ideas, and spark questions. We’re aiming to simulate a complete, high‑quality human learning experience, and social interaction is a crucial part of this.
What does it mean to follow someone?
- Their book updates will show up. Think Goodreads: ‘Robert has read Meditations’.
- Their Notebooks will appear when they make these public.
- You’ll see when they start following someone you follow too.
We’ll add more over time.
Find a profile by searching in the app
You can search for them by name. If their profile is “findable” (configurable in Settings), it should show up.
- Search for their name in the app.
- Tap their profile.
- Tap “Follow”.
In the near future, we might allow follow requests using private links to profiles.
Follow someone using a unique link
If you can’t find them via search, you’ll need their unique profile link. Users can find this in their own profile in the app by tapping their profile picture.
- Open their unique link (opens in the app or on the web).
- Tap “Follow”.
What’s with “findable” or “public”?
- A profile can be “findable,” which means it shows up in search. This also means the profile is public.
- A profile can be just public. In this case, you can only find or follow them if you have their unique link, and they won’t appear in search results.
