How to Build a Daily Learning Habit with Integrate
Knowing what to learn is the easy part. Remembering it is where most people stop.
Integrate’s Daily Sessions are a 5-minute daily review that resurfaces your best highlights using spaced repetition. You see a handful of snippets each day, chosen by an algorithm that knows what you need to see and when. Combined with streaks, it turns retention into something you actually stick with.
What a daily session is
A curated set of snippets picked for you each day. Integrate’s algorithm selects the most relevant highlights from your library and presents them as a short review session.
Each session has about 5 snippets. The whole thing takes around 5 minutes. That’s it.
How snippets get selected
The algorithm doesn’t pick randomly. It weighs four things:
Topic weight. Topics you care about more appear more often. If you’ve marked “Leadership” as high priority and “Cooking” as low, your sessions reflect that.
Familiarity. Snippets you saw recently get pushed down. Fresh content you haven’t reviewed gets a boost.
Spaced repetition timing. The system tracks when you last saw each snippet and schedules the next review at the optimal interval for long-term memory.
Value rating. Snippets you’ve rated as highly valuable show up more than ones you marked as less important.
Every session feels relevant. That’s the point.
Completing a session
Open Integrate and go to your Daily Session. You see your snippets one at a time. Read, reflect, optionally rate the value, move to the next one.
Once you’ve reviewed all of them, the session is done.
Streaks
Streaks count how many consecutive days you’ve completed your session. Complete today’s? The number goes up. Miss a day? Back to zero.
Two numbers tracked:
- Current streak (consecutive days from today)
- Longest streak (your personal best)
Simple mechanic. But it works. Once you hit 7 days, you don’t want to lose it. At 30, the habit runs itself.
Building the habit
Anchor it to something you already do. Morning coffee and daily session. Commute and daily session. The best habits attach to existing routines.
Start with 3 snippets per day. You can increase later. Consistency beats volume.
Adjust your topic weights if sessions feel stale. Go to your topic settings and boost subjects you’re focused on right now. Sessions immediately get more relevant.
The science
Daily Sessions are built on two things cognitive science has validated repeatedly.
Spaced repetition. Reviewing information at increasing intervals interrupts the forgetting curve at the right moments. Research shows this improves retention by 200 to 400% compared to cramming.
The testing effect. Your brain strengthens memories when it retrieves them, not when it passively re-reads them. Each session is a mini retrieval exercise.
Five minutes a day, compounded over a year, means you’ve reviewed roughly 1,800 of your best highlights. That’s the gap between consuming knowledge and keeping it.
Common questions
Can I change the number of snippets?
Yes. Adjust session size in settings. Most people find 5 (about 5 minutes) to be the right number.
What if I miss a day?
Your streak resets, but nothing else changes. The system adjusts and keeps selecting the most relevant content for your next session.
Do new snippets show up right away?
New snippets are prioritized. They typically appear within 1 to 2 days of being added.
